Senator Claman was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Yundt was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Chris Elliot, Radiant Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Lord God, eternal and wise! I come into Your presence today with reverence and gratitude, fully aware that it is You who raises up leaders and establishes the affairs of nations and states. You, O Lord, who stretched out the beauty of Alaska like a crown across our horizon, who breathed the breath of life into every soul that calls this great land home, have also entrusted these lawmakers with the noble and weighty task of governance. I pray that You would fill this chamber with a wisdom that is honest, compassionate, and rooted in what is truly good for the people they serve. May their conversations be marked by civility, their disagreements by respect, and their decisions by a shared love for the common good of every Alaskan community, both near and far. 2026-03-13 Senate Journal Page 1926 Protect them from the subtle creep of cynicism, the lure of political convenience, and the pride that blinds a leader to the needs of those they serve. Remind them daily of the example of Christ, who, though He possessed all power and authority, chose the path of sacrifice and service for the sake of others. May the legacy of this legislative session be one of integrity, courage, and genuine care for the people of Alaska. May Your name be lifted high and honored in all that is accomplished here. Strengthen them for every challenge that lies ahead. I ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen. Senator Myers led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Giessel moved and asked unanimous consent the journal for the fifty-first and fifty-second legislative days be approved as certified by the Secretary.
