The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor David Elmore, Landmark Apostolic Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Heavenly Father, I come before you and I thank you for this Senate today. I thank you for their hard work, their sacrifices, and their willingness to answer the call to serve. I ask that you would anoint each and every person here as they gather to make decisions for the State of Alaska and its people. Jesus, I ask that you would give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Give them a heart of love and peace for the people that they lead and represent. Jesus, I pray for a hedge of protection around them, protect them and keep them safe, encamp your angels around them Lord. I pray for this session today, that it would be uninterrupted and that they would be unified in their decisions that work for the betterment of the citizens of this wonderful state. The following fiscal information was published today: Fiscal Note No. 1, indeterminate, Department of Revenue Governor's transmittal letter dated April 11: Dear President Stevens: Under the authority of Article III, Section 18 of the Alaska Constitution, I am transmitting a bill relating to education tax credits for child care and the child care assistance program. This bill would create a tax incentive for employers to support child care expenses for their employees. It adds child care-related expenditures to the list of allowable education tax credits for certain taxpaying entities.
