Senator Holland was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Begich, Kawasaki were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Bishop. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this glorious day. We ask that you reach out and touch and bless each one of us, our families, and our staff as we go through our daily business here in this Capitol. We ask that you reach out and bless those that are less fortunate than us around the globe. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen. Senator Hoffman led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the fifty-first and fifty-second legislative days be approved as certified by the Secretary. Messages from the Governor Letter dated March 11 was read stating on February 17, 2021, in accordance with Article III, Sections 26 and 27 of the Alaska Constitution and Alaska Statute 39.05.080, I submitted a list of appointees for confirmation.
