We pause as we take up the work of guiding our beloved state of Alaska, to express our thanksgiving and gratitude for giving us this day and all the blessings contained within it. We thank you for physical health and the ability to perform the tasks you have given us. We know, gracious God, that many struggle with physical challenges and limits that prevent them from living full lives. So help us to receive the gift of each day and good health as the true blessing it is. We thank you, also, for the good work you have called us to do. We ask for wisdom and strength to do it well. The tasks and legislative challenges before us are not easy, so we ask you to guide us as we do the good work you have given us. 2014-03-10 House Journal Page 1810 Loving and gracious God, we thank you for our colleagues in the House of Representatives. We pray that your hand of blessing and mercy would be on each of them. We pray that you grant us the grace to listen carefully to one another and the ability to work well with each other, even when we see things differently. And dear Father in heaven, I pray for these men and women who have dedicated themselves to serving the common good of our state. Watch over their families in this season when they are separated from loved ones. Protect and bless them. I pray these things in the name of my Lord, Jesus. Amen.
