Senators Kelly, Salo were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Leman, Taylor were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Sharp. Senator Duncan moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Lord, we ask today for Your guidance in giving us the patience to seek out wise solutions. Lord, provide us with the courage to make difficult decisions, and give us benevolence to recognize the strengths of each legislator in this body. And, Lord, help us to come together and utilize these virtues for the best interests of all Alaskans. And, God, bless the Alaska Airlines' pilots. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. SJR 3 Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that he be shown as a cosponsor on SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 3 Opposing the ban on the export of Alaska North Slope crude oil; endorsing federal legislation to remove restraints on the export of Alaska North Slope oil; requesting the Congress of the United States to pass legislation to permit the export of Alaska North Slope crude oil; and urging the President of the United States to support the legislation to lift the ban on the export of Alaska North Slope crude oil. Without objection, it was so ordered. SJR 11 Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that he be shown as a cosponsor on SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 11 Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska relating to terms of legislators. Without objection, it was so ordered. SB 16 Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that he be shown as a cosponsor on SENATE BILL NO. 16 "An Act relating to the University of Alaska and university land, authorizing the University of Alaska to select additional state public domain land, and defining net income from the University of Alaska's endowment trust fund as `university receipts' subject to prior legislative appropriation." Without objection, it was so ordered. The presence of Senator Taylor was noted. President Pearce referred the proposed guidelines on the Open Meetings Principles report (page 28) to the State Affairs Committee and requested the Senate Secretary to publish the guidelines in a supplemental journal.
