what is right, as You did to Your son David. Father grant us
understanding and acceptance of those whose concepts are

Father, help us control our emotions during these final hours
together and have us focus on the good we do here -- and not
the errors each of us commit.

Father forgive us our personal desires and lead us to the
common good for all Alaskans.

Insert the following:
It is the intent of the legislature that the Department of
Transportation and Public Facilities aggressively pursue federal
highway funding for authorized projects. If additional state
matching funds are needed to preclude the loss of the federal funds
or delay of projects into fiscal year 1998, the department is
expected to identify this need to the finance committee in 1997 for
early funding consideration.

Respectfully requesting the Environmental Protection Agency to
issue a final National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
permit for Cook Inlet oil and gas operations that omits the
incremental permittee monitoring and reporting obligations
identified in the Agency's draft permit and, consistent with the
philosophy of the Agency's 1996 National Water Program Agenda,
allows the permittees to operate under pollutant discharge
monitoring and reporting requirements that are not more rigorous
than those requirements of the Cook Inlet National Pollutant
