Senator Dunbar was excused from a call of the Senate. Senator Kawasaki was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Pastor Greg White, First Baptist Church Juneau. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Father in Heaven, in Jesus’ Name I come to You. Thank You for the Senators of Alaska. I ask, Lord, that “You fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that they can walk pleasing unto You and be strengthened by You.” (Col 1:9). May the Senators negotiate party politics with peace, understanding, and even joy. May Alaska be better by their work.
