MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR HB 35 A message dated August 7 was received stating the Governor allowed the following bill to become law without signature and is transmitting the engrossed and enrolled copies to the Lieutenant Governor's office for permanent filing: SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 35(JUD) "An Act relating to the use and possession of electronic devices by prisoners; and relating to identification cards." Chapter No. 25, SLA 2025 Effective Date: November 5, 2025 A Declaration of Disaster Emergency and General Fund Supplemental Authorization Request dated July 30, and accompanying letter dated August 8, regarding fire suppression activity, were received. The declaration, request, and letter were coped to the Finance Committee Co-Chairs and are on file in the Chief Clerk's Office. 2025-08-19 House Journal Page 1420 A Declaration of Disaster Emergency dated August 9 and accompanying letter dated August 14, regarding the imminent threat of a Glacier Lake Outburst Flood in Juneau, were received. The declaration and letter were copied to the Finance Committee Co-chairs and are on file in the Chief Clerk's office. UNFINISHED BUSINESS SB 183 Pursuant to the August 2 veto override (p. 1433), the specified chapter number was assigned to the following: SENATE BILL NO. 183 "An Act relating to hindering the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee; relating to the powers of the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee and the legislative audit division; and providing for an effective date." Chapter No. 1, FSSLA 2025 Effective Date: August 3, 2025 ANNOUNCEMENTS Uniform Rule 23(d) is in effect. House committee schedules are published under separate cover. ADJOURNMENT SCR 101 Pursuant to the following, Representative Kopp moved and asked unanimous consent that the House adjourn until 10:00 a.m., August 31 for a technical session: SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 101 Authorizing the Senate and the House of Representatives to recess for a period of more than three days.
