On this 117th day of this 34th legislature, with the deepest respect for all faiths, we offer this prayer: This past year this body has stood in a moment of silence for many relatives, friends, and loved ones that have gone before us, or taken from us way too soon. Representatives Bryce Edgmon, Genevieve Mina, Justin Ruffridge, and Will Stapp dedicate this original song invocation to the many that grieve lost loved ones through accidents, health, and simple age- related causes while we were here in Juneau this session. "Behind those Pearly Gates" At night when I'm weary Closing my eyes 2025-05-17 House Journal Page 1254 It brings me joy To realize It ain't forever My old friend I can't wait To see you again My only question Is how long will it take Before I find you Behind those pearly gates You never know It might be a surprise And I'll get to see that Look…in your eyes When that day Calls out to me Come on home To eternity I won't look back I won't hesitate Till' I find you Behind those pearly gates Amen.
