Representative Nelson had been excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell of White Fields Church. Representative Story moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Dear heavenly Father, I pray you fill this chamber with your presence today and be here with the representatives as they labor together to find consensus to meet the needs of our state. In James 1:5 of the Bible it says: If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. So, dear Lord, I’m asking for a breakthrough here today and great wisdom for the House. Breakthrough where there may seem to be no way, make a way, Lord, as only you can. Bring refreshing to them, Lord, as they near the end of this session. 2025-04-30 House Journal Page 0950 And now, I pray this blessing over you: May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.
