With deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I invite you to join me as we open in prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this gathering of the Alaska House of Representatives. As many have prayed over this legislative session, I, too, pray that you bestow wisdom upon the representatives in this room. I pray for safety and peace and blessings upon them and their families. Give them energy today and this week to accomplish those things which they set their minds and hands to. And today I pray over this great state of Alaska. As a Christ follower, I pray for divine alignment in this state. As you taught us to pray, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done. 2025-04-23 House Journal Page 0856 So with that in mind, I pray for your will to be done in our towns, villages, and cities. God, I pray for your will to be done in our schools and educational institutions. I pray for your will to be done in our churches, our businesses, our financial institutions, and our hospitals. I pray for your will to be done with our natural resources and with our commerce. I pray for your will to be done within our judicial, executive, and legislative branches. And God, I thank you that the establishment of your kingdom results in righteousness, peace, and joy. May these things be evident in this great state of Alaska. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
