The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Fred La Plante of Juneau Church of the Nazarene. Representative Story moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. In my religious tradition, this week is Holy Week. I offer the following prayer for this House of Representatives: Father, thank you for allowing me to lift these leaders to you today, asking that you grant them the wisdom and grace to lead us, the people of Alaska, into the future. Please help them govern with that wisdom and grace in these challenging days. When they find themselves at an impasse, please help them find ways around seemingly impossible areas. I also ask that you help them deal with personal issues that may arise in their lives that can hinder seeing things clearly. Where there are health issues, please grant them healing. Where there are relational issues, grant them peace. In every part of their lives, help them grow deeper in their understanding of how to respond. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. 2025-04-14 House Journal Page 0716 The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Stapp. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Kopp moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 81st, 82nd, and 83rd legislative days be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk.
