With respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Lord, thank you for the opportunity to come before you - to bring our petitions and concerns, to express our love and adoration for you. Thank you for the hearts and willingness of these individuals who serve the State of Alaska. To seek this office requires a bold and courageous spirit - thank you for instilling that spirit in them, for giving them the strength to stand firm in their convictions. Thank you for 2025-03-21 House Journal Page 0494 those convictions. But also grant them the humility to recognize their limitations, their need for one another, and most importantly, their need for you. We know that without you, we can do nothing - but through you, and in you, all things are possible. We ask for what is possible - for what you desire - that our will would align with yours. And if there are any here who do not know you or what you have done for them, we ask that you would make yourself real to them and give them hearts open to receive you. These public servants have a difficult task. Give them peace and wisdom to carry it out - so they may serve you and the people of Alaska in a way that brings you glory and brings the people peace and joy. We love you and are grateful for your love, grace, and mercy. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Mina.
