With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this new day and the honor and privilege of being here in the House of Representatives. Iām reminded of the inspired words written by the Apostle Paul in I Timothy, Chapter 2, verses 1 and 2, I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people ā for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 2025-03-03 House Journal Page 0280 In accordance with these words, I thank you for each representative. Lord, I pray that you would bless them and give them wisdom, compassion, and humility as they work together to help all Alaskans. Help each representative to do justly, and to love mercy; and for those who believe in you and follow you, to walk humbly with you, Lord Jesus, as they perform their duties in this place and across this great state. As the Prophet Amos said, Let justice run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
