Senator Stedman was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Hoffman, Hughes were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Major Shane Halverson, The Salvation Army. Senator Olson moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Almighty God, we thank you for the opportunity to gather in this respected and honored assembly of the Alaska State Senate. We are often left in awe of the majesty of this great State. Every direction we look we are surrounded by your marvelous creation, from the towering peaks of Denali to the serene beauty of the Kenai Fjords. On this Monday, we seek your direction as we look for ways to improve Alaska business and commerce. Senator Wielechowski moved the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 1. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading.
