Senators Dunbar, Kiehl were excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Hoffman, Shower were absent. Senator Giessel moved and asked unanimous consent Senator Hoffman be excused from a call of the Senate today through evening plane time January 22. Without objection, Senator Hoffman was excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell, White Fields Church. Senator Olson moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Thank you, Lord that you promise rest for our souls. I pray You give the Senators rest today as they labor together. Lift any burdens they may be carrying off their shoulders.
