With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: Father God in Heaven, we come to you with offerings of thanksgiving, prayer, and petition. Hallowed is your name above all and your kingdom has no end. Thank you for your son, who died on the cross that we may live with you eternally in Heaven. We thank you for our mothers and fathers and close relatives, those living and those that have passed away. We thank you for our children, grandchildren, and our spouses. We give thanks for our homes, our health, our income, and our privilege to serve here as legislators. Where two or more are gathered, you are in the midst. Father God, we recognize we cannot take a single breath without 2024-03-14 House Journal Page 1816 you. You are our provider. You forgive our iniquities time and time again. So, we ask for the strength to forgive those around us in the same manner, and work to better each other. Father God, help us to recognize our calling as an opportunity to be able to make a difference, and we ask that we not take it lightly. Help us to grow in your wisdom and understanding while we are here. We pray for the unborn child in this world. We ask for you to help us be mindful of those in prison, of those that ask for a hand up, of those that ask for a handout, of those that wish to learn and strive to grow in this world. Lord, we ask for the wisdom to portion our resources to their best benefit fostering self-sufficiency. May the love of God, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. It is in Jesus' name I pray. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Armstrong. * * * * * Representative Ruffridge introduced Lucas Wood, Guest Page, from Soldotna.
