Without objection, it was so ordered. Gracious God, I come before you today on behalf of these, our elected representatives. They are your servants with a great responsibility to represent the lives of all Alaskans, a monumental task to be sure. With that task and all the challenges that task encompasses, I pray for your help, guidance and wisdom as they do their work over the next few weeks. I pray for insight as to how they can come together to accomplish many things that will enhance the lives of all Alaskans. And I pray that in the midst of their work, your will would be done, as you, Jesus, taught us to pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” I want to offer special prayer for the family of Representative Don Young. I thank you for his life and his long service to the state of Alaska. I pray for comfort, strength and help for his family and loved ones. 2022-03-21 Senate Journal Page 2072 I pray for each official in this room, for their health, for the concerns that weigh on their hearts, for their families and the communities they represent. I pray this pandemic would soon end and we would no longer have to carry the concerns it has brought on our state, our nation and our world. To You, O Lord, I give you thanks and praise for this opportunity to pray for these servants of Yours. So, I bring them before you and I pray this in the name of Jesus, my Savior, Amen.
