Senator Shower was absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell, White Fields Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Heavenly Father, “I have called upon You, for You will hear me O God; incline your ear to me and hear my prayer.” Psalms 17:6 Let Your presence abide here in the Senate and guide them in all of their work of this day. Bless them as they labor together. Light their path, Lord, give them renewed vision for the days ahead. I pray you keep them healthy and strong, mentally and physically. You are the God who heals, touch anyone here who may be dealing with sickness and heal them, now. Bring refreshing to them, Lord. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen. Senator Reinbold led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2022-02-23 Senate Journal Page 1878 Certification Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent the journal for the thirty sixth legislative day and Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 11 be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. Messages from the Governor Letter dated February 22 was read stating on January 31 in accordance with Article III, Sections 26 and 27 of the Alaska Constitution and Alaska Statute 39.05.080, I submitted a list of appointees for confirmation. The following appointees have withdrawn themselves from consideration, effective immediately: Board of Professional Counselors Christine Alvarez – Eagle River State Medical Board Sola Olamikan – Anchorage Communications Disclosure letters received from the Select Committee on Legislative Ethics, in accordance with AS 24.60, will be published in Senate Journal Supplement No. 9 and Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 12. Consideration of the Calendar Third Reading of Senate Bills SB 150 SENATE BILL NO. 150 "An Act establishing the second Monday of September of each year as Truck Driver Appreciation Day" was read the third time. The question being: "Shall SENATE BILL NO. 150 "An Act establishing the second Monday of September of each year as Truck Driver Appreciation Day" pass the Senate?"
