Full Journal pdf2021-03-19 Senate Journal Page 0493 SJR 9 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 9 Urging the United States Congress to exempt cruise ships from certain provisions of the Passenger Vessel Services Act and other applicable provisions of federal law for the period during which Canadian ports are closed to cruise ships carrying more than 100 people; and urging the President of the United States not to fine or take actions against cruise ships sailing to the state, was read the second time. Senator Costello, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Labor and Commerce Committee Substitute offered on page 475. Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 9(L&C) was adopted. Senator Stevens, Acting Majority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent the resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
