Representative Kreiss-Tomkins had been excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell of White Fields Church. Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Oh, you who created the heavens and the earth, who looks down from heaven on the sons and daughters of men, I approach your throne of mercy and grace. Oh, you who hear our prayers before we even utter them, I thank you, Lord, this day that you are here listening. Fill this place with your wonderful presence and be with our representatives as they meet together. Give them fresh ideas and insight as they confer over the business of the day. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Tuck moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 36th legislative day and Senate and House Joint Journal Supplement No. 11 be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk. MESSAGES FROM THE GOVERNOR A message dated February 22 was read stating that on January 31 in accordance with Article III, Sections 26 and 27 of the Alaska Constitution and Alaska Statue 39.05.080, the Governor submitted a list of appointees for confirmation.
