With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: 2022-01-21 House Journal Page 1684 Dear Lord, While I offer this prayer in the collective we, I ask that you let the request begin with the me. Almighty God, we pray for humility, compassion, and unity amongst us all in this House Chamber this session. Help us to remember to first take the stone out of our own eye before we look to remove the specs that we are so quick to see in other members' eyes. Let us strive to be kind, gentle, generous, loving, giving, and forgiving as we go about our work in this chamber and in this building. Allow pride to never get the best of us as we strive to fulfill the calling and expectations that we first serve to achieve the greater good for all Alaskans, not just those that exist in our particular constituent groups. Let humility invade our souls and kindness and a cooperative spirit towards each other be our guiding principle each day of this legislative session. And to this we say, Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Kurka.
