Representative Nelson had been excused from a call of the House today. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Representative Story. Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. I offer this prayer with the deepest respect for the beliefs of all Alaskans: Dear Lord, Thank you for the gift of each new day and for the beauty of this place. Thank you for our family, friends, and communities. Watch over them while we are away from home doing our work.
