Thank you for creating us different from the animals, for giving us the breath of life. Thank you for giving us value by creating us in your image for we are fearfully and wonderfully made from the moment we are conceived. Thank you, Father, for giving us the founders of this nation that sought you when designing our system of civil government that we are a nation birthed in liberty. Help us, O Father, preserve this heritage and pass on the blessings of liberty to our posterity. Thank you for placing us in Alaska, for giving us this extraordinary land of opportunity. Let us not squander it like the wicked servant that buried his talent, but to be good stewards to prosper it wisely. 2021-02-11 House Journal Page 0068 O Lord, you are a just and holy God. Give us mercy. Lord, we humbly repent for our sin. Keep us humble. Give us a contrite spirit. Give us a burning desire to seek you, your face, to seek your will. Give us ears to hear your voice. Holy Spirit, you are welcome here. Pour out on us. Teach us to do your will. Lord, give us courage to protect the innocent and defenseless, those that have no voice. Help us to make not merely politically calculated decisions, but what is best for our state, our communities, and first to be in obedience to you. In Jesus' holy name. Amen.
