Senators Costello, Reinbold, Shower were excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Kiehl. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, pokei-ach ivrim. Blessed are you eternal G-d, Source of the universe, who opens the eyes of the blind. Please G-d, open the eyes of those in positions to make decisions for the community, for those developing tests, vaccines, and treatments. Give them the peace of mind to be clear-eyed in their work.
