May it be Your will, L-rd our G-d, and G-d of our ancestors, that we devote time this day and every day to reflect on our deeds; that we accustom ourselves to the study of Your teachings in the Holy Torah; and that we observe Your commandments. Bring us not into sin, transgression or iniquity, no matter how petty, nor into temptation, scorn, anger, jealousy or rage so that our evil inclination not have mastery over us... Rather, cause us cleave to what Abraham Lincoln described as the better angels of our nature, to the good inclination and to good deeds, and let us subordinate our impulses in your service. Grant us this day and every day: grace, kindness and mercy; wisdom, knowledge and insight; and may be adjudged favorably in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who behold us; now let us say, Amen. 2020-02-14 Senate Journal Page 1736 Senator Gray-Jackson led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
