Senator Wilson was excused from a call of the Senate. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Rabbi Yehoshua Mizrachi. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. He who grants salvation to kings and sovereignty to princes; Whose kingdom is a kingdom everlasting, who rescued David, his servant, from the evil sword; who places a path through the sea and road amid the mighty waters; may He bless, protect, strengthen, help, uplift and make great this august body of legislators, as well as all the constituted officers of the great State of Alaska. May the King who reigns over kings in his mercy save them alive and spare them every trouble, woe and distress. May He implant in their hearts, and in the hearts of all their advisors and staff, wise counsel, kind words and pure thoughts. May he place in their hearts compassion to do good with us, the Children of Israel, and with all the citizens of the Great State of Alaska, our brethren. In their days and ours may Judah be saved, may Israel dwell securely, may the redeemer come to Zion, so may it be His will, now let us respond, Amen. 2020-02-10 Senate Journal Page 1698 Senator Coghill led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.
