Dear Heavenly Father, Oh, You who made the heaven and earth, to you, O Lord, I lift up my voice on behalf of the Senators gathered here today. 2020-01-29 Senate Journal Page 1600 I thank you, Lord, that You hear my voice. I thank You, Lord, for watching over them and protecting them from any harm. I thank You, Lord, for watching over their families, here, and those who are not able to be here today. Lord, You know our every thought and I ask that you lift any burdens from their minds, now, so they can be free to focus on the tasks set before them this day. Your word says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Grant them this rest, Lord, and let Your peace that passes all understanding abide here with them. Fill this place with Your Presence, now, Lord. I pray You give the Senators wisdom and understanding as they labor together for the good of Alaska.
