Senator Shower was absent. The invocation was performed by Finn Morley, Cellist, Juneau- Douglas High School. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the invocation be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. "Alaska's Flag" By Marie Drake and Elinor Dusenbury Senator Hoffman led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the ninety-third through ninety-seventh legislative days and House and Senate Joint Journal Supplement No. 7 be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered. Messages from the House SB 89 Message dated April 22 was read stating the House has failed to recede from its amendment to CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 89(JUD) namely: 2019-04-22 Senate Journal Page 0886 HOUSE CS FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 89(JUD) "An Act relating to the Legislative Ethics Act; and providing for an effective date." The House waived Uniform Rule 42(a). Senator Wilson, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Health and Social Services Committee Substitute offered on page 728. Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 93(HSS) was adopted. Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
