Senators Hughes, Kiehl, Micciche, Olson, Giessel were present for the technical session. Senators Begich, Birch, Bishop, Coghill, Costello, Gray-Jackson, Kawasaki, Reinbold, von Imhof, Wilson were excused from a call of the Senate. Standing Committee Reports SB 32 The State Affairs Committee considered SENATE BILL NO. 32 "An Act relating to criminal law and procedure; relating to controlled substances; relating to probation; relating to sentencing; relating to reports of involuntary commitment; amending Rule 6, Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure; and providing for an effective date" and recommended it be replaced with CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 32(STA) "An Act relating to criminal law and procedure; relating to electronic monitoring; relating to controlled substances; relating to probation; relating to driving while license canceled; relating to arrest; relating to sentencing; relating to sentencing for driving under the influence and refusal; relating to reports of involuntary commitment; amending Rule 6(r)(6), Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure; and providing for an effective date." 2019-04-19 Senate Journal Page 0872 Signing do pass: Senator Shower, Chair; Senators Reinbold, Micciche.
