The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, The Reverend Caroline Malseed, St. Brendan's Episcopal Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Creator Spirit, I pray to you for the people of the State of Alaska, and for these Senators who represent them. Unite all who dwell in this state in common purpose, in respect for one another, in graciousness and in kindness. Let the laws and policies of our government promote wellbeing, opportunity and health for all. Preserve us from minds and structures that grant privilege to some, but not for all; that exclude some from access to justice; and that divide us by race, gender, language and other arbitrary segmentation. Help us to remember we are all your children and your intention is that we be a people of equity. Help us to live by your will, our Creator. Amen. Senator Olson led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2019-03-06 Senate Journal Page 0466 Certification Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent the journals for the forty-ninth and fiftieth legislative days be approved as certified by the Secretary.
