Message dated May 2 was read stating the House passed and returned                                                              
for consideration SENATE BILL NO. 78 "An Act establishing                                                                       
May 31 of each year as Katie John Day" with the following                                                                       
amendment:                                                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
                   HOUSE CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 78(TRB) "An                                                                    
              Act establishing May 31 of each year as Katie John                                                               
          Day; and providing for an effective date."                                                                            
                                                                                                                                
Senator Costello moved the Senate concur in the House amendment.                                                                
Senator Begich objected, then withdrew his objection.                                                                           
                                                                                                                                
The question being: "Shall the Senate concur in the House

Senator Costello moved and asked unanimous consent the vote on                                                                  
concurrence be considered the vote on the effective date clause.
