District 3 was vacant. Representative Thompson moved and asked unanimous consent that the following members be excused from a call of the House. Dear Lord, thank you for the men and women who choose to serve our great state in leadership. We pray for their wives, husbands, children, and families on how to best support one another while their loved ones are away leading our great state forward. We are so grateful for the staff of our leaders. Thank you for giving them the gift to support, provide guidance, strength, and encouragement as they help fulfill the roles their leaders have before them. The leaders who help secure the needs and desires of our great state. Be with our leaders as they work together to find solutions to difficult problems. Give them wisdom, give them courage so that even when it is hard, they would continue to go boldly and do what is right in your eyes. Amen. Representative Thompson objected. Representative Claman rose to a point of order regarding relevance of the remarks. The Speaker ruled that the point was well taken and cautioned the member to confine remarks to the motion.
