With deepest respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I approach your throne with boldness and faith; knowing that you hear me and I thank you that you answer my prayers. I give you all the praise and honor and glory that is due your name, and I invoke your presence here in the House of Representatives as they meet together. I pray that you would be their guide as they navigate the business set before them this day. 2019-03-29 House Journal Page 0402 Grant them your wisdom and discernment as they deal with difficult issues, and I pray that there would be a working unity here as they move forward. Bless them with good health, Lord, and if any here are not feeling well, I pray you touch them now and bring healing to their bodies. Give them strength and fortitude throughout the remainder of this session. Protect them from all harm and protect their families. And, now, I pray this covering over them taken from Psalms 20:1-2: May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary; And strengthen you out of Zion. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Wool.
