With respect for the religious beliefs of each person here, I offer this prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I approach your throne of mercy and grace, and I pray for this chamber, the House of Representatives, that you would fill this place with your spirit. Let your presence abide here. According to your word in Philippians 4:6-7: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. I pray for that peace of God to abide here this day. 2019-03-27 House Journal Page 0388 And, in James 1:5: If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.
