Heavenly Father, you know how we live in our stories: the stories in our hearts are brighter in our thoughts than the sun as it rises in the morning. For this reason, you promised to place your love in the hearts of your people and the blessing of your truth within those who wish to receive it. You made us so that we may choose to hear and see you. We remember the gratitude in the words of the Psalm: Give thanks to the LORD and call upon his Name; make known his deeds among the peoples. Glory in his holy Name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. (Psalm 105:1 - 3) Give the blessing of joy to this Senate of Alaska. Enlighten the hearts of these women and men with the light of wisdom that the exercise of their duties may bring blessing to the people. 2018-04-13 Senate Journal Page 2648 Give them hope, wisdom, and courage to ful¿OOour obligations, bless them as they act for the common good, and guide them to teach the people the story of a Great Land wisely led.
