Senators Begich, Olson, Wielechowski were absent. Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent Senators Wielechowski, Olson, Begich be excused from a call of the Senate today. Without objection, Senators Wielechowski, Olson, Begich were excused. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Jacob Pennell, Senate Page. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. O God, Give to us wisdom and strength to know and to do Thy will. Fill us with the love of truth and righteousness, and make us ever mindful of our calling to serve the people of this great state. Grant that we be guided by your providence and dwell secure in your peace. Amen. Without objection, it was so ordered. Communications The following reports are on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Senate: Department of Health and Social Services Alaska Citizen Review Panel 2017 Annual Report in accordance with AS 47.14.255 Department of Health and Social Services Alaska Vaccine Assessment Program 2016-2017 Annual Report in accordance with AS 18.09.210 Introduction and Reference of Senate Resolutions SCR 202 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 202 BY THE SENATE RULES COMMITTEE, Suspending Rules 47 and 55, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, relating to the carry-over of bills from the First Regular Session and the First Special Session to the Second Special Session, concerning House Bill No. 111. was read the first time and was before the Senate on final passage. 2017-07-12 Senate Journal Page 1547 The question being: "Shall SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 202 Suspending Rules 47 and 55, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, relating to the carry-over of bills from the First Regular Session and the First Special Session to the Second Special Session, concerning House Bill No. 111, pass the Senate?" The roll was taken with the following result: SCR 202 Final Passage YEAS: 17 NAYS: 0 EXCUSED: 3 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Bishop, Coghill, Costello, Dunleavy, Egan, Gardner, Giessel, Hoffman, Hughes, Kelly, MacKinnon, Meyer, Micciche, Stedman, Stevens, von Imhof, Wilson Excused: Begich, Olson, Wielechowski and so, SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 202 passed the Senate and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment. Unfinished Business Senator Hughes moved and asked unanimous consent to be excused from a call of the Senate from the evening of July 20 through the morning of July 24; from the morning of September 17 through the evening of September 25; and from the morning of October 15 through the evening of October 24. Without objection, Senator Hughes was excused. Announcements Rule 23(d) of the Alaska State Legislature Uniform Rules is currently in effect. Without objection, the Senate recessed at 8:40 a.m. After Recess The Senate reconvened at 5:13 p.m. Engrossment SCR 202 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 202 Suspending Rules 47 and 55, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, relating to the carry-over of bills from the First Regular Session and the First Special Session to the Second Special Session, concerning House Bill No. 111, was engrossed, signed by the President and Secretary and transmitted to the House for consideration. Adjournment Senator Micciche moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate stand in adjournment until 11:00 a.m., July 13, 2017.
