The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Reverend Nancy Campbell, White Fields Church. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Dear Heavenly Father, Oh You who hears our prayers. It is to You I come and ask Your blessing upon the Senate body this day. Bestow Your grace upon them, extend your mercies here and bring refreshing to their souls and strengthen their bodies. I pray healing for any who are sick. Be their guide, Lord, as they work together for the good of our state. Grant them the wisdom they need to complete the tasks yet before them. Be their all and all; everything they may need and more. Keep them and their families safe. And now, Lord, I ask that Your presence, Your tangible presence fill this place. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
