Peterson of Resurrection Lutheran Church.  Representative Wilson                                                                
moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on                                                              
the journal.  There being no objection, it was so ordered.                                                                      
                                                                                                                                
     I invite you to pray in your own tradition, as I pray in mine:                                                             
                                                                                                                                
     Lord of Heaven and Earth,                                                                                                  
                                                                                                                                
     You know how hard this legislative body works to do the will                                                               
     of the people. The hours have been long, the views diverse as                                                              
     we seek a common vision leading us into Alaska's future. We                                                                
     thank you for the gift of good will among us, because that can                                                             
     be so easily under trodden in these times.  We thank you that                                                              
     we have this calling to lead our state, even though it is                                                                  
     difficult work. Bless this time together, as we try to find the                                                            
     light in the darkness. We each have hundreds of people                                                                     
     standing behind us in this Chamber; we feel them leaning                                                                   
     forward, hopeful that we will find those answers that serve the                                                            
     good for all people and creation. Keep a positive view of                                                                  
     government alive in our hearts, remind us of what we can do

        together - if time and talent can be harnessed and we, as a                                                            
      common team, pull that heavy sled of state to the finish line.
