The Senate was convened for the purpose of a technical session. Senators Egan, Hoffman, Huggins, MacKinnon, Meyer, Stedman were present for the technical session. Messages from the House SCR 501 Message dated July 11 was read stating the House passed and returned: 2016-07-15 Senate Journal Page 3091 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 501 Suspending Rules 47 and 55, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, relating to the carry-over of bills to a special session. The resolution was referred to the Secretary for enrollment. Message dated July 12 was read stating: The Senate is invited to meet with the House for a joint session on Friday, July 15 at 12:00 p.m. for the purpose of voting to override the Governor's vetoes in accordance with Uniform Rule 51. Adjournment Senator MacKinnon, Acting Majority Leader, moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate stand in adjournment until 11:00 a.m., July 18, 2016.
