The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Huggins. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. Our most precious heavenly Father, we ask thee today, in the beginning of this prayer, for thy forgiveness. And we're reminded annually at the Easter timeframe of the sacrifice you made that we can have that forgiveness, and we thank you for that. And Father, we have many tasks that we've accomplished - we have many to come. We ask for you to bless our wisdom - hopefully our resolve - to get the additional tasks done. And Father, as you look around the globe there are so many people that we are now calling migrants, but in this era a huge number of migrants are fleeing something - they vary. We ask thee to help us both as a country, and the world at large, to deal with that dilemma. And Father, sitting here in the gallery today are a number of young people - some are pages also - that are the future of our country. We had the greatest generation - those men and women from WWII - as our role models, and the sacrifices they made that we may have what we do today. We ask that we could be part of the role model for these young people with us today. 2016-04-13 Senate Journal Page 2486 And Father, finally, just a reminder to us: Let us remind ourselves when things look hopeless and we think back to the plight of the Israelis. They are in Egypt and Moses leads them out and spreads the waters. There is hope. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. Senator Stedman led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance. Certification Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the eighty-fifth legislative day be approved as certified by the Secretary. Without objection, it was so ordered.
