Lord in Heaven, We thank you for the beauty and resources of our State, the friends and families that support us while we serve the State, and for the opportunities we have to act for the good of all Alaskans. Please guide us here, the people's body, with good judgement, kindness, and wisdom. May your guidance aid each of us in the difficult decisions we face. As we reflect on the proverb: "A reed before the wind lives on, while mighty oaks do fall", we ask for compassion and humility to survive the trials we face together here. While the oak stands tall and courageous, 'A tree that is unbending is easily broken'. May we work with understanding and flexibility as we continue through this session. 2016-04-09 Senate Journal Page 2406 We ask a blessing of safety and comfort on those we love.
