Senator MacKinnon was excused from a call of the Senate. Senators Bishop, McGuire were absent. The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Father Pat Casey, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. O God of all goodness, listen to the prayers of all who are gathered here in this Senate Chamber, as we pray for Peace and Justice around the world, and that as you debate the issues of the day you keep in mind the people who you are called to serve are primary in the decisions that you make here today. Second Reading of Senate Resolutions SCR 16 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 16 Urging the Governor to designate a location for a special session of the Twenty- Ninth Alaska State Legislature, if called after adjournment of the First Regular Session of the Twenty-Ninth Alaska State Legislature, that is in a community on the state's road system, was read the second time. Senator Stoltze, Chair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the State Affairs Committee Substitute offered on page 2221. Senator Gardner objected, then withdrew her objection. There being no further objection, CS FOR SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 16(STA) Urging the Governor to designate a location for a special session of the Twenty-Ninth Alaska State Legislature, if called after adjournment of the Second Regular Session of the Twenty-Ninth Alaska State Legislature, that is in a community on the state's road system, was adopted.
