Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President                                                             
Meyer at 1:08 p.m.                                                                                                              
                                                                                                                                
The roll showed twenty members present.                                                                                         
                                                                                                                                
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Coghill. Senator                                                                
Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be                                                                    
spread. Without objection, it was so ordered.                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                
       Reading from Psalm 103 verses 8 - 11:                                                                                    
       "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and                                                                   
       plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will                                                               
       he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after                                                              
       our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.                                                                   
       For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his                                                               
       mercy toward them that fear him."                                                                                        
                                                                                                                                
       God of creation and God of mercy, we are doing our best                                                                  
       to work with each other for Alaskans. We need your                                                                       
       help. Guide our Governor, our two bodies to reach a                                                                      
       conclusion to this year's budget. Be with our family                                                                     
       members that are having health needs today. Thank you                                                                    
         for the forum that we have to do the business of our state.                                                           
                                                                                                                                
       I will close with Psalm 103 verse 22:                                                                                    
       "Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his                                                                      
       dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul."
