With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer. Eternal God, fountain of wisdom; whose will is good and gracious, and whose law is truth: "No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who walk with integrity." [Psalm 84:11] Bless these people, our Representatives of the State of Alaska. Grant them a new basis to trust in one another, strengthen their quest together to provide justice, and bring them to unity 2016-01-22 House Journal Page 1480 and a common purpose in service to the people. Increase in them imagination, skill, and energy, so that through their work with each other there may grow among us wellbeing and peace. Creator God, you have filled the world with grace and abundance: open the eyes of the house to this beauty, and fill their hearts with gladness in their work together, so that it may prove to be a blessing of the people they are elected to serve and a legacy that future generations of Alaskans will praise with gratitude! Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Drummond.
