Representatives Claman, Hawker, and LeDoux had been excused from a call of the House today. Representative Pruitt was absent. Representative Millett moved and asked unanimous consent that Representatives Colver, Ortiz, and Wool be excused from a call of the House today. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Representative Stutes. Representative Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. With the deepest respect for the religious beliefs of all Alaskans, I offer the following prayer: We give you thanks, O God, for giving us another day. We ask your blessing upon this legislature and upon all to whom the authority of government is given. The issues of these days and in coming months remain complicated and potentially divisive. Endow each member with wisdom and composure that productive policies and solutions might be reached for the benefit of our state. 2015-05-26 House Journal Page 1224 Please send your spirit of peace upon those areas of our world where violence and conflict endure and threaten to multiply. May all your children learn to live in peace. And may all that is done within the people's house this day be for your greater honor and glory. Amen. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Millett moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the third, fourth, and fifth legislative days of the second special session be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk. There being no objection, it was so ordered. INTRODUCTION, FIRST READING, AND REFERENCE OF HOUSE BILLS HB 2002 HOUSE BILL NO. 2002 by the House Finance Committee, entitled: "An Act making appropriations for the operating and loan program expenses of state government and for certain programs and capitalizing funds; making appropriations under art. IX, sec. 17(c), Constitution of the State of Alaska, from the constitutional budget reserve fund; and providing for an effective date." was read the first time and referred to the Finance Committee. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Representative Millett moved and asked unanimous consent that the following members be excused from a call of the House.
