Representative Munoz had been excused from a call of the House today. Representative Guttenberg was absent and his presence was noted later. Representative Stutes was absent and later excused (page 856). The invocation was offered by the Chaplain, Representative Millett. Representative Wilson moved and asked unanimous consent that the invocation be spread on the journal. There being no objection, it was so ordered. In deepest respect for all religions, I offer this prayer. Almighty God, creator of all we see and feel, maker of all life and giver of great love to every person: We come before you today with grateful hearts to be able to serve the people of our state, for the strength of body and heart we enjoy and this form of government we are a part of. We look to you for guidance in clarity of mind and wisdom of heart in order to do well for our friends and neighbors. We honor those who have gone before us and have left us a good heritage, those who sacrifice to serve in our armed services and those who keep us safe at home. 2015-04-11 House Journal Page 0842 Our time here is short in comparison to history, so help us to work diligently as if it may be our last day on earth; we look to the next generation for continuing our legacy. Our burden for today is carried for this year's needs. Help us to bear it with honesty, patience and noble debate as we work to do our best for our people. I thank you for the legislators I get to serve with and ask you to bless them with your grace and love today. As we start the work of today, help us to clear our minds and hearts from anxiety, fear or ill will so we can, with your peace, do the business of the day for the people we serve. I pray this in His name. Amen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Representative Wilson. CERTIFICATION OF THE JOURNAL Representative Millett moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal for the 81st legislative day be approved as certified by the Chief Clerk.
