Loving and gracious God, we begin this day by thanking you for calling us to serve the people of Alaska. We live in a grand and beautiful land. Loving God, our creator, help us cherish the gift of this magnificent place. Mountains and seas, forests and tundra, creatures on the land and in the waters all surround us. The Psalmist declares, "The earth, O Lord, is full of your steadfast love." (Psalm 119:64) Help us live with joy and wonder over your stupendous creation. 2015-02-27 House Journal Page 0322 We also thank you for the people of this great land. Help us to do well by them. Grant these Representatives the wisdom and wherewithal to build a fair and just Alaska. Give them creative insight, patience, and the ability to work together as they address all sorts of complicated challenges. Help them, I pray. Please, dear Lord, protect their health. On this day we are especially mindful of how fragile life is, and we pray that you will heal and strengthen these hard working public servants. In this regard, we pray for our dear brother, Benjamin Nageak. We pray that you would bring him back to health speedily and well. I thank you for these men and women of the Alaska State House of Representatives. Fill them with grace and vision as they work to make Alaska a place where all thrive and flourish.
