Senator Stedman was absent. The prayer was sung by the Chaplain, Reverend Bobby Lewis of the New Light Baptist Church, New York City. Senator Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be spread. Without objection, it was so ordered. "God Bless America" God bless America, land that I love. SB 61 SENATE BILL NO. 61 BY SENATOR COGHILL, entitled: "An Act relating to the board, loans, records, and lobbying contracts of the Alaska Commercial Fishing and Agriculture Bank; and providing for an effective date." was read the first time and referred to the Labor and Commerce Committee. Second Reading of Senate Resolutions SJR 6 SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 6 Urging the United States Congress not to relinquish to the office of the President of the United States the legislative duty to safeguard our most fundamental right; and urging the President of the United States to refrain from any further efforts to restrict ownership of firearms, was read the second time. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered.
