Senator Wielechowski offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 4, following line 12: Insert new material to read: "FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature urges the Governor to prohibit the use of state personnel and resources to assist the National Security Agency in its collection of mass data on Alaskans without a specific search warrant; and be it" Page 4, line 27, following "Security;": Insert "the Honorable Sean Parnell, Governor of Alaska;" Senator Wielechowski moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Without objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Senator Coghill moved and asked unanimous consent that the resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 22 am was read the third time. Senators Dyson, French, Stevens, Kelly, Meyer, Egan, Huggins moved and asked unanimous consent to be shown as cosponsors on the resolution. Without objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 22 am Opposing the warrantless collection of telephone call data by the National Security Agency, pass the Senate?"
